Inventive & Intentional Design
We're a design practice without boundaries where web, brand/graphic, and interior design inform each other. We pair creative courage with scientific rigor to ship high quality experiences and drive results.
Great design expands across disciplines. Print sharpens pixels. Photography shapes identity. Space tells the story. At SUPERBOLD Design Lab we apply research, experimentation, and design systems across digital and physical touchpoints so your brand feels coherent and intentional everywhere.
Frequently Asked Questions
What design services do you offer?
We’re a borderless design studio. Our core services include web design and UX/UI, brand identity and graphic design, and interior and environmental design. From conversion-ready eCommerce sites to signage and wayfinding systems, we help brands show up consistently across digital and physical spaces.
Where do we start?
We start with an easy discovery call to understand your goals and needs. From there we’ll create a proposal that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and budget. Once you approve the proposal, we’ll get to work.
Do you work with both digital and physical design?
Yes. We believe good design is a system—websites, print, photography, and interiors all inform one another. That’s why our studio handles both digital and physical touchpoints: we create brand identities that work on screen, in print, and in real-world environments.
Where is SUPERBOLD Design Lab located?
We’re a Chicago-based design agency, working with clients locally and nationwide. Many projects are remote, but we also love collaborating in person—especially for interior design, spatial planning, and workshops.
How much do design services cost?
Costs depend on the scope of work, complexity, and timeline. A website or UX/UI project might be scoped differently from a brand identity system or a retail interior design project. We offer clear proposals, fixed project fees, and transparent hourly rates when needed.
What industries do you specialize in?
We don't fit neatly into any particulary industry and we intentially stay versatile, but we do tend to lean towards hospitality, retail, consumer goods, tech, and professional services. Because our process is rooted in research, experimentation, and systems thinking, we can adapt to any industry.
Do you offer website development as well as design?
Yes. Alongside UX/UI design, we provide front-end web development and collaborate with trusted development partners for full builds. This ensures your site moves smoothly from concept to launch without gaps between design and implementation.
What is a design system, and do I need one?
A design system is a reusable set of components, patterns, and guidelines that ensure your brand looks and works consistently across platforms. If you’re scaling a product, website, or multi-location brand, a design system reduces rework, accelerates timelines, and maintains quality.
Can you help with interior design for retail or hospitality?
Absolutely. Our interior and environmental design work includes spatial concepting, materials, signage, and wayfinding. We create spaces that express your brand, enhance customer experience, and support business goals—whether for retail shops, cafes, or office environments.
Do you take on small projects or only large engagements?
We work on both—again, life is about variety and exploration. Some clients come to us for a quick brand refresh or packaging design, while others partner with us for multi-month website builds, product UX/UI, or full interior rollouts. We tailor the team and process to match your project's scale.
What’s your design process like?
Our process combines creative courage with scientific rigor. We start with research and discovery, develop concepts through iterative design and experimentation, and refine through feedback and testing. The result is work that's inventive, intentional, and impactful.
How do you measure success on a design project?
Success depends on your goals—whether that’s increasing conversions on an eCommerce site, strengthening brand recognition, or creating a welcoming physical space. We track outcomes through analytics, customer feedback, and business performance, not just visual appeal.
Do you work with startups as well as established brands?
Yes. We love working with early-stage startups that need to define their brand and digital presence as well as larger companies scaling products and systems. Our borderless approach means we adapt to your stage of growth.
How long does a typical design project take?
Timelines vary: a brand identity might take 4–6 weeks, a website redesign 8–12 weeks, and an interior design project longer depending on construction. We’ll always give you a realistic schedule before kickoff and tailor our plan to your preferred schedule.
Do you offer ongoing design support?
Yes. You can keep us on retainer or project-to-project for design systems updates, seasonal campaigns, website enhancements, or new interior rollouts. We aim to be a long-term creative partner in a the way that's most effective for you.
